You either walk inside your story and own it or you stand outside your story and hustle for your worthiness.

Frequently asked questions

Are you currently accepting new clients?

Yes! I am accepting new clients for psychotherapy who are residents of the states of New York and California.

How do I know we’re a good fit?

Finding the right fit in therapy is essential, which is why I offer a free phone consultation. After all, time is precious, and there's no need to waste it if we don’t have a sense of compatibility. Here’s a sneak peek into my approach and what I’ve found to be effective:

First and foremost, a willingness to learn and a sense of trust are crucial. Trust that our time together is valuable, and I’ll provide insights tailored to your specific concerns. Honesty is at the heart of this relationship; I endeavor to be direct, authentic, compassionate, and respectful in all our interactions, guiding you toward your goals.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in relational psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) theory, clinical mindfulness, emotional awareness, and cognitive restructuring. I also incorporate behavioral strategies as needed. In my experience, the more flexible we can be in responding to obstacles, the less trapped we feel by our challenges. If we can use thoughts to adopt a new perspective—fantastic! If it’s more effective to shift our behaviors and create new habits for different outcomes—equally wonderful. Sometimes, you may simply need a non-judgmental space to process your thoughts, or a compassionate space to process and release our feelings. All of these approaches can significantly improve functioning and help you move closer to your ideal self.

Do you take insurance?

While I do not accept insurance, I am happy to help you access your out-of-network mental health benefits. If you are not sure if you have out-of-network mental health benefits, the most reliable way to find out is to call the number on your insurance card and ask your insurer’s customer service representative directly. (Psssst… Be sure to use the phrase “out-of-network mental health benefits!”)How much does therapy cost?

Where are you?

I’m geographically located in New York City. Currently, I’m accepting in-person couples and family cases in NYC, and clients from the states of New York and California via telehealth, which is just like FaceTime or Skype but on a secure platform using industry standard encryption.

This is especially beneficial for those clients with busy work schedules, are avid travelers, couples with conflicting schedules, even those in different cities who are not able to make it to a physical office. And, admittedly, it’s great for those who value convenience.
